Abstract:

(No paper) Technology is creating major impacts on water management decisions dynamics. Today emerging technologies, such as satellite rely of hydrological and meteorological data, improvement of mesoscale atmospheric numerical prediction models, deployment of Doppler radar systems, uses of satellites for everything from estimating precipitation to determining soil moisture, Geographical Information Systems, and evolution of sophisticated hydrologic prediction systems have provided decision makers with the opportunity to significantly quantify his/her understanding and prediction of the behavior and availability of water within a river basin.
