Abstract: The paper presents an optimal active control algorithm with soil-structure interaction for seismic response. By using an intelligent device in the feedback gain matrix, the algorithm can be automatically adjusted, taking account of actual earthquakes on site, to provide effective controlling results. Numerical examples are provided to show the influence of the soil-structure interaction on structural response.
