Abstract:

This proceedings, Analysis and Computation consists of papers presented at the Eleventh Analysis and Computation Conference (formerly Electronic Computation), held in conjunction with the ASCE Structures Congress XII, Atlanta, Georgia from April 24-28, 1994. It covers such topics as: 1) Emerging computing technology; 2) evaluation of infilled structures; 3) structural optimization; 4) seismic evaluation of structures; 5) high performance computing; 6) structural control; and 7) computing in engineering education, practice and registration. These topics are explored in relation to mathematical models, formulations, computation, and experimental verifications of buildings, bridges, and other structures. Therefore, this proceedings should provide an integrated view of recent developments in various phases of analysis and computation.
