Abstract:

This paper is an attempt to understand the competitive aspects involved in the implementation of IVHS technologies worldwide. IVHS concepts and products are envisaged in similar ways in the different countries who are implementing IVHS programs. These programs are mainly developed with the political and financial supports from the public bodies in charge of R&D in the transportation area. We will look at the possible conflicts imposed simultaneously by the needs of cooperation at the international level to develop and test new IVHS concepts and the very competitive aspects of this industrial development.
