There has been a strong trend towards the integration of computer aided design and engineering during recent years. But all the systems can not provide the completely integrated functions, and need some customization by the user especially in the design of concrete structures. We have developed design automation system of concrete structures using knowledge-based approach, and represent how to construct and maintain rule-based systems which consist of design standards and engineer expertise. Also, interface Program was developed to integrate design automation system and existing CAD system.
