Abstract:

The objective of this paper is to present a summary of the development of marinas in Mexico, especially in the last five years, since the relaxation of government regulations in this sphere, and to describe the actual steps which are required to invest in marina development in Mexico. A definition of the tourist marina is given and Mexican government structure relevant in this field is described. The operational permits that are required for the marina are listed. A guide to operation for the Boater is presented.
