Abstract:

With today's rapidly changing world economies and a variety of other pertinent factors, the euphoria of the past few years is fast dwindling and a professional approach in structure organisation and control is now imperative if the marina industry is to prosper and grow and marina owners are to receive a commercially acceptable return on their investment. Maximization of potential and operational efficiency are the key areas to be dealt with by all members of the industry in the years ahead. Too often, little or no effort is placed on innovation and improvement. Maintenance of the business is no longer an acceptable goal.
