by V. C. Patel, Univ of Iowa, Iowa City, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulic Engineering

Abstract:

Prospects of developing comprehensive methods of computational fluid dynamics for the analysis and design of new generation of hydroturbines are considered. Unique requirements for this application are briefly reviewed and progress made in a cooperative effort to develop such a capability is reported.
