Abstract:

A two-dimensional hydrodynamics model was used to understand the circulation and transport patterns in Keelung Harbor, Taiwan. The calculated hydrodynamics information was used to determine the flushing (exchange between the Harbor and the Pacific Ocean) characteristics of the Harbor from a two-dimensional tracer transport model. The results were used for preliminary planning of cleanup measures for the Harbor.
