Abstract:

Proper location, design, and construction of water wells are important to assure their efficient operation and minimize maintenance problems. Detailed and accurate records of the design and construction of water wells and documented considerations for their locations are also important to aid in rehabilitating them should operational or maintenance problems develop. Each of these topics is discussed in the paper.
