Abstract:

To reduce the cost and time associated with on-site training while retaining the advantage of a conventional one-to-one learning environment, a computer-aided-instruction (CAI) system was developed for deployment with a database management system for the U.S. Army. This paper briefly describes the target system and presents sample screens from the CAI system to illustrate its characteristics and functionalities. Lessons learned from the prototype development effort are also discussed.
