Abstract:

The probabilistic methods employed in the NASA/SWRI probabilistic structural analysis program (PSAM) are summarized. An advanced reliability method capable of treating correlated non-normal variates is employed. This FPI (fast probability integration) scheme is employed with the most probable point locus (MPPL) algorithm to construct CDF's of implicit functions of random variables.
