Abstract:

In relation to an interchange curved bridge of China, a simple method by FSE for analysis of stochastic vibration has been proposed. The random vibration characteristics of bridge structures under the action of random traffic flow and roughness of road surface can be analysed by the method. The maximum deflection of bridge under these random loads which has Gumbel distribution has been obtained. Finally the problem of first passage time and threshold is solved in a mean sense.
