Reliability Analysis of Continuous Beam and Frame Structural Systems

In this paper, by adopting the cross sections where plastic hinges form as the analysed units, the problem of structure system reliability of continuous beam and simple frame is discussed. First, the variation of dominant potential failure mechanisms is considered and the distribution domain of the dominant failure mechanisms is summarised. Then, the correlation between the reliability of units is dealt with by using the method of conditional probability.
