Abstract: An improved truss model for structural system reliability analysis of jacket structures is presented. The efficiency of the model makes it possible to carry out a large amount of ultimate strength analyses for reliability assessments of an eight-legged jacket platform. Both the failure tree approach as well as a Monte Carlo simulation technique are applied.
