Abstract:

This paper presents the studies for development of a new concept of aseismic design of structures. Basis of that engineering will be a structural optimization including elastic supported floors of the building, optimum tuned to different vibration modes to reduce the response by means of semi-active control technique. In order to verify the theoretical research the semi-active control experiment was conducted on the SAMSON shaking table. The tests have been performed with different earthquake transient input functions.
