Abstract:

Development of TVA's Weekly Scheduling Model was completed in 1980. Eight years of experience covering a wide variety of applications has now been accumulated. Since the basic structure of the model remained virtually unchanged during the eight-year period, the opportunity is now available to discuss those aspects of the model that have been most responsible for the long period of successful application. This paper summarizes TVA's eight years of application experience with the Weekly Scheduling Model. The basic structure of the model is described with example results included in the description of each application.
