Analysis of R/C Slab Under Turbine Missile Impact

Abstract: Turbine missile impact on reinforced concrete barrier in nuclear reactor power plants is simulated using the finite element method. One of four full scale turbine missile impact tests conducted at Sandia National Laboratory is considered for the analysis. The displacements and velocities of the target were calculated and they are in close agreement with the experimental results.
