Abstract:

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is in the midst of a 63 million dollar 'Plan to Achieve Leading Edge Status in Electronic Data Processing. ' This plan is an aggressive, three-year initiative to utilize to its fullest extent the computing power available to the Department. The principal goal is to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of services provided to the public.
