Abstract: Beena Sukumaran, Ph.D., M.ASCE, the vice president for research, and the former department head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department, at Rowan University, along with a team of researchers, is taking part in a five-year grant funded by the National Science Foundation to find and employ various strategies to increase diversity in the CEE Department and ultimately the university.
