Abstract:
DB commercial contract terms can differ from conventional design-bid-build project terms, depending primarily on the owner's objectives, the level of risk that is to be assigned to the DB contractor, and the manner in which that risk is dealt with. This chapter deals with several examples of such risks, some of the tools that may be implemented to deal with them, and samples of some DB commercial terms and comparisons between conventional and DB terms.
