Part of: Practical Guide to Grouting of Underground Structures

Abstract:

The drilling method, either rotary or percussion, and the type and size of the drills to be used are selected based on such factors as rock type, depth of holes required, working space available, and other factors as described in detail in Chapter 4. This chapter discusses other aspects of drilling such as grout hole spacing, typical hole diameters, hole depths and grout ring spacing for contact, consolidation, and curtain grouting methods.
