Abstract:

Studies were made by the American Society of Civil Engineers to develop and initiate, through test cases, a methodology for classifying, quantifying, and analyzing the impacts on people and nature of projects and programs engineered by the civil engineer. Impact of Civil Engineering Projects on People and Nature will serve to provide planners, engineers, managers, legislators, and decision-makers with documentation that can be used to evaluate probable impacts of civil works projects and programs far in advance of final design and implementation.
