Abstract:

The purpose of this manual, Ground Water Basin Management, is to focus attention upon one particular phase of the hydrologic cycleground water. This manual is concerned primarily with the factors influencing the management of major groundwater basins. Topics covered include an outline of groundwater hydrology, calculation of the perennial supply, recharge and withdrawal, maintenance of groundwater quality, and planned utilization of groundwater. This manual will be of interest to practicing engineers or researchers working with groundwater basin management.
