Abstract:

This document, A.S.T.M. Specifications and Methods of Test Referred to in the Report of the Joint Committee on Standard Specifications for Concrete and Reinforced Concrete, combines a wide range of information into a single, organized pamphlet, making it much easier for an engineer to access this extensive list of specifications and methods of test. Some of the specifications covered include steel for bridges and buildings, billet-steel bars for concrete reinforcement, cold-drawn steel wire for concrete reinforcement, and Portland cement. Methods listed include method of test for flexural strength of concrete, method of test for coal and lignite in sand, and method of sampling stone, slag, gravel, sand, and stone block for use as highway materials.
