Abstract:

To maintain its ability to provide water to some of its rapidly growing regions, the city of San Diego is simultaneously laying two large diameter pipelines, one carrying potable water and the other reclaimed water. By using a design/build approach, the city and its partners have shortened the project's delivery time by several months.
