Abstract:

Selected Bibliography on Soil Mechanics contains a wide range of information about the vocabulary and classifications of soil mechanics. The bibliography contains an extensive amount of informative citations, divided into several subjects related to soil mechanics. These subjects include properties and classification of soils, sampling and testing, stresses and settlement in soils, pressures if soils on structures, seepage, capillary, and drainage, selection of and methods of strengthening soils, erosion, weathering, and silting, and stabilization of soils for wearing surfaces. This bibliography will be of interest to both practitioners and researchers working with soil mechanics.

Subject Headings: Soil classification | Soil settlement | Soil strength | Soil properties | Soil stress | Soil stabilization | Soil pressure
