Abstract:

Land Subdivision covers a broad range of topics regarding city planning, growth, and development. In this manual an effort has been made to emphasize some of the evils of past practices, as well as to outline some of the more important principles and practices that must be considered in the future development of every part of the American city, whether large or small. Topics this manual covers include land subdivision design, economics of land subdivision, readjustment of vacant subdivisions, re-subdivision of land in obsolete urban areas, and public control and regulation. This manual will be of interest to both practitioners and researchers working with land subdivision and city planning.
