Abstract:

California's beaches are an integral part of its culture and identity. The state's beaches are eroding at an alarming rate. Addressing this concern, CalCoast and CSBPA co-sponsored legislation to create the Public Beach Restoration Program within the Dept. of Boating and Waterways. The program would fund projects that replenish beaches artificially and restore the nature flow of sediment wherever possible.
