Abstract:
The National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University is building a $7 million, 1.8 mi (2.9 km) oval test track to perform accelerated pavement loading experiments. At least eight states are purchasing test sections to examine the performance of different mix designs, including Superpave. More than 45 different pavement variations will be tested during the first two-year experiment.
