Abstract:

The major cities of the European Union are facing a congestion crisis as a result of inadequate investment in both road mass transit infrastructure over the last forty years. In particular, London has over the last years faced a crisis of such proportions that the Government commissioned a series of studies. This paper sets out the current socio economic, land use and travel patterns in London.
