Abstract:

Engineering firms are the third most-frequently fined businesses for software license violations�right behind manufacturing and health care. Two executives who have learned about noncompliance the hard way share their experiences and advice on how to avoid copyright violations. A software manufacturer, as well as two software watchdog agencies, also give tips on how to avoid this costly infringement.
