Abstract:

This manual provides the minimum elements for consideration in the design, installation, and documentation of monitor well placement at projects known or suspected to contain chemically hazardous or toxic waste (HTW). It also covers other related geotechnical activities, such as boreholes, drilling, soil sampling, and topographic surveys. It is not necessarily applicable to projects involving radioactive, biological, or mixed (chemical and radioactive) waste components.
