Abstract:

This study included a general assessment of the surface water quality conditions within the Los Angeles County area by examination of the surface water quality data collected by LACDPW between 1988 and 1994. The purpose of this study was to provide an evaluation of surface water quality monitoring data for inclusion in the Report of Waste Discharge (ROWD), which was submitted by the LACDPW to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Los Angeles Region on December 21, 1994. The June 18, 1990, LA County National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Stormwater Permit No. CA0061654 required preparation of the ROWD including an analysis and assessment of the results of the monitoring program.
