Abstract:

An Integrated Groundwater and Surface Water Model (IGSM) has been developed and calibrated for eastern San Joaquin County in the Central Valley of California to evaluate future water resources management strategies for the area (Saquib et al, this issue). The East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD or the District), a municipal water purveyor, has shown interest in conjunctive use opportunities in eastern San Joaquin County to meet its dry year need of at least 50,000 acre-feet in the future.
