Abstract:

Various alternative wastewater treatment systems (AWWTS) are outlined and attention is drawn to a low cost sustainable wastewater treatment system that has been functioning satisfactorily in warmer regions. Cost comparisons are also provided to indicate its suitability for various sized communities with limited financial resources.
