Abstract:

The Groundwater Monitoring and Management Plan, developed for the proposed tunnel reaches between Devil Canyon and City Creek, monitors and manages selected water resource features within the San Bernardino National Forest and private properties along the Inland Feeder Project alignment. The plan monitors streams, springs, seeps, and piezometers in several geotechnical borings. The data collected includes water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, chemical analysis, and groundwater elevation in wells. Metropolitan intends to use the data collected to evaluate surface impacts from groundwater infiltration during tunnel construction of the Inland Feeder Project.
