Abstract:
Quality of materials and workmanship directly influences the life of pavement, maintenance costs, levels of service and user costs. End result specifications (ERS) make a step towards true performance specifications by promoting the concepts of quality through quality control, quality assurance and statistical quality assurance. These, plus sampling and testing requirements, are incorporated into the ERS.
