Abstract:

The proceedings, Hydraulics of Pipelines, consists of papers presented at the International Conference on Hydraulics of Pipelines sponsored by the Pipeline Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers and held June 12-15, 1994, in Phoenix, Arizona. It presents various topics of interest involving pipeline operation and design. This book covers such broad subjects as friction factors and losses, control valve characteristics, computer modeling for design, construction techniques, slurry transportation and system analysis. Case histories are presented on water and gas pipelines which outline solutions to particular problems. These papers present a valuable resource for the design and operating engineer of pipelines and pipeline systems.
