Lessons Learned from the Design, Construction and Operation of Hydroelectric Facilities is an addition to the series of publications by members of the Hydropower Committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers Energy Division. It provides information of civil facilities at hydroelectric projects based on experiences in designing, constructing, and operating of facilities and complements previous efforts by ASCE committees to disseminate information on lessons learned with dams and hydraulic structures. This encyclopedia of practical knowledge acquired by civil engineers through their design, construction, and operation of hydroelectric facilities presents the profession with many significant lessons in this area of civil engineering.
