General Urban Runoff Model for Water Quality Investigations

Abstract:

This paper presents and examines a general urban runoff model appropriate for water quality studies. The model is applied to separate runoff source areas and the outfall conditions are predicted by adding the individual source area responses. Hydrology processes of importance for small storms are considered in the model, resulting in more accurate distributions of pollutant discharges from different source areas and for varying storms.
