An Interagency Overview of Selected Stream Sedimentation Models

by Shou-shan Fan, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Washington, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulic Engineering

Abstract:

The author's experience in developing stream sedimentation models is presented. The interagency study consisted of three phases. Phase one involved making an inventory of the computer sediment models in current use. Phase two involved selecting a representative sample of models. Phase three, currently in progress, involves comparison of the models and an evaluation using several common data sets for different hydrological conditions. Preliminary conclusions are presented.
