Abstract:

The present symposium includes a panel discussion to address and illuminate needs and possibilities in hydraulic instrumentation. The panel discussion is organized with the intent of promoting greater dialogue between suppliers and users of hydraulic instrumentation. The suppliers are drawn from commercial developers and suppliers of instrumentation. The users are drawn from a large governmental agency charged with monitoring much of the nation's waterways, an industry reliant on high accuracy in flow measurement, and a university hydraulic laboratory. Some of the issues for discussion are briefly summarized herein.
