Abstract:

The DECAVER is a novel apparatus able to make new measurements in various domains where an erosion is produced in an aqueous medium. It gives the erosion rate and the accumulated erosion. This device finds using in hydraulic machinery and in sediment transport, both in laboratory and in field. One of the main advantages of the sensor is that its size can be adjusted to any place. The time response characteristics indicate that it's capable to make instantaneous measurements quite accurately.
