What Do Project Managers (need to) Know About CADD?

by Stephen M. Benz, Benz Automation Consulting, Wrentham, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Computing in Civil Engineering

Abstract:

Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) is here to stay. Today's project managers are being challenged to master the use of CADD on their projects. CADD often can 'make or break' a project. Project managers should understand how the use of CADD affects their projects, and how to deal with the uses that are likely to arise. This paper addresses some of these challenges, and outlines a case study of a successful CADD training program for project managers.
