Abstract:

This paper describes the main features of RC-CAL, a computer-aided-learning courseware for reinforced concrete design to BS8110, the British Code of Practice. Results of an evaluation of the program carried out six months after the start of developmental work are also presented. Comments by undergraduates on the style and navigational routines have been taken into account.
