Abstract:

Mobile computes, with pen and voice interfaces, digital maps, GPS receivers, and digital cameras on credit card adapters, wireless connectivity.. field GIS applications are undergoing dramatic change. The University of Florida's GeoPlan Center, in cooperation with IBM, ETAK, Trimble Navigation, Dycam Camera, GeoFocus, and PenStuff, has developed an integrated approach to field data entry using Mobile Geographic Information Systems GIS).
