Abstract:

An efficient modeling scheme for static and dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete shear walls in the inelastic range is presented. The macroelement model of the shear wall is composed of an elastic spring to model axial deformations, two inelastic rotational springs at the ends of the element to model flexure and an inelastic shear spring.
