Abstract:

A framework for collaborative distributed facility engineering is presented. This framework is an extension of an agent-based framework for facility design software integration. The focal entity of this framework is a Design Agent that comprises a collection of Software Agents (e.g., design software with certain communication capabilities) and a human designer, which together perform specific design tasks.
