Abstract:

An important aspect of CAD systems for building design concerns the description of the form of the building, the definition of operation on that form and the way these operations are offered to the user. It is reported how the first aspect is dealt with in the COMBINE project, where the scope is to develop integrated building design systems (IBDS) through which functional and performance characteristics of a planned building can be analyzed.
